The M4 Corridor Around Newport Public Local Inquiry

Welsh Government witnesses will be presenting its new evidence in respect of the Newport Docks and UK Governments decision to remove M4 tolls in 2018 on Tuesday, 27th and Wednesday, 28th February 2018.
This will enable questions to be asked of witnessed on this new evidence.     
Please advise the programme officer of requests to present questions to witnesses to ensure their availability.

Any fresh evidence from objectors on Welsh Government evidence regrding the effect of no tolls and the agreement with ABP should be submitted by 15th February 2018.  This evidence has been in the public domain since 5th and 20th December 2017 respectively.  The Welsh Government will aim to issue a rebuttal by 22nd February 2018.  Any objector who wishes to attend the PI to give evidence should contact the Programme Officer to arrange a suitable date and time.  The inquiry will consider these issues starting on 27th February. At the same time any outstanding objector from Newport Docks who wishes to appear will be facilitated.  Should objectors wish to ask questions or cross-examine any Welsh Government witnesses, then they should inform the Programme Officer so that arrangements can be made for their attendance, as has been the case throughout the PublicInquiry.
